Special Report: A Place to Grow and Learn: A Citywide Approach to Building and Sustaining Out-of-School Time Learning Opportunities
 The Wallace Foundation has been working in Boston, Chicago, New York, Providence and Washington, D.C., to develop coordinated efforts for improving and expanding out-of-school time programming. Lessons emerging from this work are detailed in a report titled "A Place to Grow and Learn."

Mayors' Education Advisors Discuss School Reform, Education Priorities
 What can municipal leaders do to successfully advance school reform and ensure that every child graduates with a quality education? Members of the Mayors’ Education Policy Advisors Network (EPAN) gathered in Washington, D.C., last week to discuss this question with District of Columbia Public Schools Chancellor Michelle Rhee, Dr. Pedro Noguera, co-chair of the “Broader, Bolder Approach to Education” initiative, members of President-Elect Barack Obama’s transition team and key congressional staff.
